Best of 2010 {} Weddings
I love love…and so, naturally, I love weddings…
…and even more than that, I love capturing all the sweet moments, genuine emotions, and soul connections that happen on the day two people commit their lives to one another. Here are some of my favorites from 2010:
#10. Amanda and Nick. Married at Oliva on the Hill in an intimate ceremony with only family…proof that more is not always better and simple can be so very, very sweet.
#9. Ericka…surrounded by her besties praying God’s favor and blessing on her marriage. Not gonna lie…there wasn’t a dry eye to be found (including the one peering through the camera).
#8. Dana and Ben. They got two slots…and could have easily had all 10. So many great moments and pictures from their wedding day…
#7. …including the beautiful sunset that painted the sky just before their reception.
#6. Ashley and Jim. If I had to describe them in a word it would be “genuine.” I literally smiled behind the camera all day at these two and their love could not have been more palpable.
#5. Julie and Brad. Notice the position of Brad’s foot…I believe his very next step was ON his beautiful bride’s dress…oops. Thankfully Julie was THE. MOST. CHILL. BRIDE. EVER. and it didn’t even phase her. I love this picture and this couple and everything about their beautiful wedding that they planned in less than 40 days. They also got two slots because this picture is just gorgeous…
#4. …and this one just makes me happy. (btw, Brad, I’m still dying to know what you said to her just then).
#3. Ericka and Jake. If you read my blog at all this year you know that I love me a hanging branch. I don’t know what it is, but I can’t help myself. Add a beautiful couple and some nice back-lighting and you get perfection. I’m a big fan of everything about this picture…including the people in it!
#2. Julie and David get the last two spots…and narrowing it down was quite a process…there were charts and graphs…pros and cons lists…lost sleep…
okay, well it wasn’t quite that dramatic, but between the stunning bride and the absomalutely beautiful setting, there were SO MANY gorgeous pics. Capturing their day will long be a highlight of my photography career.
#1. If I ever have a studio, this will be the first picture I print on canvas to grace the wall. Enough said.
Dear Married peeps: watching your love through my lens was one of the highlights of my year. My sincere thanks to each of you for the privilege.
Kelly,
I will never grow tired of looking at your pictures. Especially weddings when you can just see love in the couples eyes. It is such a sweet thing. Thank you for sharing your lens discoveries with all of us!
