Best of 2010 {} Kids and Babies

Allow me to begin with a few disclaimers: 1). It took me longer to CHOOSE my favorites than it will to blog them (and that’s saying A LOT cause I ‘aint no wordpress genius). 2). They are in NO particular order of favoritism. 3). I excluded some favorites simply on the “past favorites post rule” (a rule I just made up that specifically states that if a person has already appeared in two favorites posts they are automatically disqualified from a third. Period).

mmmK,  glad we got those out of the way.

I LURVE shooting kids…for so many reasons, but I think mostly because they grow and change so fast that archiving their little moments is literally priceless.

I know nothing about “posing” kids, so what you’ll see in the following pics is 100% credited to their little (and some of them quite big) personalities. Enjoy.

20. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the little boy ears…not to mention the sweet smile and the baby curls.

19. I’d give my left arm to have as much energy as this kid…capturing a still moment was no small feat.

18. The calm and the storm.

17. Hey there bright eyes.

16. Quite possibly the happiest kid I photographed all year…literally smiled like this for over an hour.

15. Just making sure it’s still there 🙂

14. The definition of “delight”

13. Dear God…please give me a blond headed, curly haired, little boy. Seriously.

12. It’s my favorite when kids smile from head-to-curled-up-toes!

11. I earned an academy award for the performance that evoked this smile.

10. Can’t even tell you how happy this makes me.

9. Bright colors and bold patterns make rockin’ kid pics…even in black and white 🙂

8. Can barely handle how cute she is…the bright eyes and “full face” smile…are you kidding me?

**side note** next year I think I’ll have a favorites category specfically for amazing eyes…but for now, consider the next several pictures a preview of what’s to come 🙂

7. Absomalutely LOVE these two pictures… totally going in my studio someday 🙂

6. Tell me she’s not the most precious thing you’ve ever seen?

5. I believe the only way to describe these eyes would be absomalutely AH-mazing.

4. Simply beautiful.

3. love this series…captures the personality, the lifestage (missing tooth) and the dimples. Priceless.

2. Last two spots go to sweet Sabine. Love the coat. Dig the hair-bow/band thingy. Adore the smile. Love this kid.

1. Seriously? The. Cutest.

Dear ankle biters, tots and tweens: watching you experience life through my lens is a joy and a privilege.
