Best of 2010 {} Personal
It’s been a big year for this little family of 4. I started a photography business, Shane bought the company he’s been running for 3 years, our first-born started pre-school and our baby turned 2. We were all in a wedding (the girls were THE. CUTEST.), Adley got to experience sand AND snow for the first time, we traveled to both coasts, and in between all the big stuff were a million little moments that passed all too quickly.
You think you’ll remember all those little precious moments… but you start adding more kids and more work and more years and you soon realize how quickly you forget.
One of the many things I’m behind on in life is keeping up with my personal pictures, but I couldn’t resist grabbing some favorites to close out this series of “Best of 2010”.
If I never make one more dollar taking pictures, I will forever be grateful for this craft that allows me to archive the people most precious to me. Here’s a glimpse of our year in pictures 🙂
My sweet little Adley learning to walk…There is NOTHING cuter than the toddling stage.
Adley took one lick of her first birthday cake and then went in for the kill. It. Was. Ah-Dorable!
A big thanks to my mom (who Adley loves the most) for the pic on the right. I spent an hour trying to get a smile and then Mamie is over for 5 seconds and we get this.
Nothing says “enjoying a rainy day” like puddle jumping in a pink tu-tu and a red ladybug rain get-up.
SO proud to be 3 (and started talking about being 4 one day later)…
Emery was literally SOOOOOO excited about her gifts that she was hugging them. Which is, of course, simultaneously cute and kind of worrisome 🙂
We spent a weekend in may in Shane’s hometown and got some great pics in front of an old barn.
The essence of youth.
Who says you need sunshine at the beach to have a good time?
Looking for a ride I guess???
The downward facing dog.
The beach at Coronado.
My most precious peeps. (thanks to my sweet friend Krissy for this pic).
Emery is a daddy’s girl…and Adley…she’s a Mamie’s girl…
A couple more pics courtesy of Krissy at one of my favorite places on earth. Seaport Village, San Diego.
Emery’s 1st day of school. She was BEYOND excited and SO stinkin’ proud of her backpack.
One of those random evenings I was thankful to have my camera in tow.
One of my favorite Beckemeier family traditions: Apple picking
not sure if this is a cute or guilty look…but either way I kinda like it:)
ummmmm…AH-dorable!
They get along like this ALL of the time. In my dreams anyway.
These next few pics are courtesy of my sweet and very talented friend Lisa Hessel. She’s done our fall family pics the last couple of years and I always adore them. I hope she doesn’t mind me stealing them because this post of favorites would not be complete without them! 🙂
SNOW ANGEL.
Kissing cousins and sledding with pops.
This picture captures their personalities to a TEE and I could not love it more.
Dear time: Please. Slow. Down.
Glad you are treasuring these times. You are an amazing photographer and an even more amazing mom.
