Summer Vacation {} Personal
You know how there’s a difference between a vacation and a “trip”…
Last week we had a legitimate, full-fledged, unplugged, relaxing vacation.
The girls got all decked out in their 4th of July dresses/shoes to see the fireworks…
Thanks to my amazing parents, Shane and I started vacay with a couple days along while they kept the kids. It. was. awesome. For us and the girlies…they LOVE their Mamie and Pops…they joined us for the 4th of July festivities and stayed the rest of the week…it was SO fun being together!
Somehow, much to my shigrin, my girls love things like fishing, camping, and dirt…thank GOD for Shane to be willing to touch the worms to bait a hook…
That snoopy pole was mine as a kid and my dad, of course, still has it stowed away in his basement 🙂 ).
The “real” fireworks show was Ah-Mazing (I didn’t bring my camera so I could just be “in” the moment with the kids), but the next night we did our own little show. The girls wanted to put their dresses back on and I love this reaction of Emery’s seeing the first one go off!
The girls loved the sandy beaches the most.
Emery got to go horseback riding and she was SUUUUPER excited…
When we weren’t at the beach, watching fireworks, napping, horesback riding or watching chick-flicks, we were at the pool…
The girls found a frog in the pool and you’d think they’d have won the lottery by their reaction 🙂
