Meet sweet (not to mention precious, adorable, squeezable, little-tiny) Ellie.

Her mama wanted a simple, clean shoot (although we snuck in a few head bands) and I couldn’t love these pics more…

The day before she was born (4 weeks early) her mama and I were at a Bible Study together. The conversation came up about how Katie tends to have early babies and therefore she could be due any time…

…next thing I know, she’s lying on the floor having our OBGYN friend give her an idea of how big the baby might be…

…our friend said, “oh, prob about 5 to 5 1/2 pounds…”

Katie’s water broke the next morning and out came little 5.5 pound Ellie…

Who needs ultrasounds!

Ellie’s sex was a surprise and as stated above, she came 4 weeks early…the coolest part of her story is that she was born on Father’s day and named after her daddy’s mama. Talk about perfect timing! This girl knows how to work it!

Top 5 favorite sibling pic of all time…no question:

I like to refer to the “toddler-newborn-sibling shot” as “mission impossible”…but not with a perfect, little Whit! All it took was a package of m&m’s and wah-lah!

My amazingly talented friend Bethany showed up for the shoot with this little wrap she just knitted up real quick the night before. Seeing as how I can barely sew a button on, I was more than impressed (not to mention super excited about how cool it looked in pics!).
