Best of 2011 Kiddos {} St. Louis Children’s Photography

A long time ago, in a former life, I ran a couple marathons…

I literally have no (i.e. NONE…nada…zip) desire to do that again, however,  I think that experiencing that level of simultaneous exhaustion and exultation was good preparation for shooting young kids (especially toddlers).

Many of the below photos involved blood, sweat, and/or tears and were captured “on the fly” with one or more adult(s) making total arses of themselves behind me.

A one hour session can easily feel like 26.2 miles with lead shoes on…It’s no job for mere mortals, but it’s in these very “real” moments that the best pictures (complete with twinkling eyes, genuine emotions, real personalities) are captured.
