Best of 2010 {} Seniors
I’m pretty sure I was more nervous about doing my first senior shoot than I was about my first wedding…
…it’s the whole “posing one person” thing that just seemed hard and awkward and unfamiliar…
…and there’s also that stigma of “cheesy” that so often accompanies senior portraits that I desperately wanted to avoid but quickly realized how easily it’s achieved.
I did 5 senior sessions this year…which, in the grand scheme, is obviously not a lot…but since I did not have one senior pic on my website to speak of, I was proud and grateful for those opportunities.
I picked a favorite (or three) from each session and have “add senior section to website” on the to-do list with hopes of doing a whole lot more of these next year. It’s not often you get unlimited time, creative freedom, and willing subjects for a photo session…
…and the results are phenom… (if I do say so myself 🙂 )
10. Julia at Creve Coeur Park. Beautiful place. Beautiful girl. Sweet, sweet smile.
9. Katie. Hello gorgeous eyes and amazing eylashes!
8. Caroline T. Can you say AH-mazing skin??? I’m STILL waiting to grow out of my “teenage” skin into something that resembles this!
7. Old town St. Charles on a beautiful fall day. Love.
6. Alex. Cannot even tell you how much I love EVERYTHING about this picture.
5. I dragged him deep into the hood for these pics…so worth it. Plus, this dude can seriously play so the serenade was an added bonus to the session for me 🙂
4. Please use this on the cover of your first album, mmmk? ok.
3. Caroline D. My first senior session ever…and one that will always hold a special place.
2. Gorgeous girl. Beautiful setting (all taken at/around her house). Perfect light…
1. …oh, and Absomalutely AH-MAZING eyes.
Dear Seniors: Thanks for making me look good by looking so good 🙂 Finish strong.
I have to agree…these are all AHMAZing!!! Well done!
Those are all soooo good! The lighting is awesome, the composition is strong, and the posing is fantastic. Really nice work Kelly!
