Birdie & Dave {} Married

I’ve known both Birdie and Dave from afar for quite a while now…

…but it wasn’t until I sat down with them a few weeks before their big day that I had the privilege of really getting to know them…

…and you’ve possibly never met two people more full of life…more genuine and kind…more perfect for each other…

Birdie wanted their first look to go like this (and I LOVED it!)…we placed them both in their respective “corner” where they reached around to grab hands. I made them wait a few seconds before they got to “look” and they were like kids in a candy store.

Usually, I’m spending a lot of energy on a wedding day directing couples to “interact” in order to create “moments”…Birdie and Dave were the exact opposite. I literally felt like the librarian all day telling them to quiet down and look at my camera 🙂 . The pic on the left is one of their few “posed” pics…and…the rest are just them being them…

A little surprise under the dress…not your typical bridal shoes 🙂

ummm…favorite.

There are not words to describe how crazy fun these guys were…fortunately, there are pictures 🙂

…and the girls were equally delightful…not to mention quite beautiful!

There’s those fancy shoes again 🙂

Birdie, you’re gorgeous. Period.

I say this all the time, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE those last few moments between a bride and her daddy…as usual, Krissy captured this one beautifully.

How priceless is this???

I did not get to be around for their reception because I had an out of town engagement prior to booking this wedding. My trusty assistants Cori and Krissy captured the rest of the night while I jetted off to Nashville, and I literally smiled from ear to ear as I looked through their pics. I’d LOVE to know what her dad was saying right here…

When I texted my mom from Nashville to see how the night ended, here exact words were, “Amazing. Who will ever forget the first dance of a beautiful bride her adoring husband in “their” wheelchair?” I teared up when I read the text. I cried when I saw the pics. Love.

From the moment he first saw her to their last dance together, Birdie’s dad was adoring…and Oh, so proud!

The. Sweetest.

Dear Birdie and Dave: If your marriage is half as fun as your wedding day, you’re in for a lifetime of laughter. It was a privilege to be a small part of your big day!
