Julie and Brad…Botantical Gardens Wedding
Julie and Brad planned their wedding in 40 days…and no, it wasn’t a shot-gun-oops-I’m-pregnant type of thing. When I met with Julie about shooting her big day, I immediately loved her love for Brad. They had an April wedding on the books, but when it came right down to it, they just wanted to be married…sooner rather than later. The idea of 6 months of wedding planning quickly became daunting to them and so they decided if by the end of that week they could find a venue for this year they’d take it!
Their first phone call was to the Botanical Gardens, where they not only went on their first date, but also got engaged. The good news: they had ONE opening for a ceremony and reception. The not as good news: it was just over a month away.
Without thinking twice, they booked it and never looked back.
They had an AH-Mazing day and the love that drove them to plan a wedding in less time than the baseball post season, was palpable all day long!
Hello, beautiful eyes…
…and nice job on the Ring, Brad!
I just love this series of pics…
…even this one…(and no, I didn’t “mean” to do this for some “artistic” flair, but I think it looks cool).
This is my favorite (you know how I love me a hanging branch). For sure needs to be printed on canvas.
They are the sweetest together…
Not to rush you guys or anything, but your children are destined to have beautiful eyes.
Another favorite.
It was here in the Chinese Garden that Brad asked Julie to be his wife…
Besides being abso-ma-lutely beautiful, Julie was the most laid back bride ever. She should give “bride” lessons on how to soak in and enjoy your day.
Don’t mind me while I capture a sweet moment stalker-style 🙂
Let the wedding begin…
Nothing sweeter than the look on a guy’s face as he watches his bride come down the aisle.
A few more quick shots on their way back to the reception spot.
…and a little pause to practice the steps of the first dance…
…and then the real thing…
The DJ did one of those “anniversary” dances where all the married people get on the floor and then get knocked off by years of marriage until the couple married the longest has the floor to themselves. The winners could. not. have. been. cuter. These pictures just make me happy.
I hope Julie doesn’t kill me for putting these on the blog, but she was the MOST fun on the dance floor and there were so many great facial expressions that I literally laughed out loud as I was editing them. As stated earlier, the girl knows how to live in the moment and seize the day.
Final favorite from the day (taken by my friend and amazingly talented assistant Cori).
Dear Julie and Brad: the day could not have been more perfect and your love for each other could not be more beautiful. It was a privilege to witness. Congratulations.
