Apple Picking
One of my all time favorite Beckemeier family traditions is Apple Picking. I’m not sure what the attraction is really because honestly, it’s usually one million degrees, the apples are for sure 4 times more expensive than buying them at Schnucks, and we spend more time eating funnel cakes and downing $3 bottled water than we do actually picking apples…that said, I can’t remember a year we didn’t go and we all love it.
Per tradition, we started off the day with some funnel cakes…
…and as you can see they were a hit!
I honestly think the apple picking experience has become more about the pictures than the apples…but seriously, can’t you see why?
…a little last year/this year comparison to remind me to cherish the moments cuz they grow up WAY too fast.
Emery was serious about her apple picking and was on a mission from the moment we started to fill her bag…
…$42 dollars later: mission accomplished.
Adley’s mission was a little different…it involved eating her 42 dollars worth of apples while on the premises…
…between Adley and Charlie, they for sure ate the price of admission in apples…
Adley and Jordie showing some cousin love.
so cute.
hands down, without question, favorite pic of the day. So Charlie.
highlight of Charlie’s day (with apple number 4 in hand).
I cannot tell you how much joy these two bring to my life.
Thank God for Aunt Megs cause there ‘aint no way I’m letting a goat lick my hand but she led the way for everyone…
…and Emery loved it!
